Our Story

Soccer turns the world quite small; Lindsey and Tyler found that out. Both growing up falling in love with the game in different parts of the country (and at very different skill levels!), the game eventually brought them together and in love themselves.

Everyone knows Lindsey’s connection to the national team and that can be googled to keep this story short. Tyler joined as an analyst back in 2016 and began working with both the mens and women’s teams shortly after. He traveled with the team from 2017-2020, and while the role started out behind the scenes cutting video, reviewing data, and preparing the team for upcoming games, it then included being an extra training player and joining in most sessions.

This allowed Lindsey to eventually remember his name after the World Cup and their mutual love for North London (although vastly different opinions on what color it is), and they began a coffee betting competition that consisted of Premier League games during camps in early 2020. While covid took the world over shortly after, it helped shape their love story. Tyler quickly changed his focus to another project and goals outside the federation, which opened the door for Lindsey’s persistent flirting tactics (she had to make all the moves). Long FaceTimes over which players and teams were the best led to a visit to Chicago and so started the long distance relationship. Colorado to Chicago, Portland to Monaco, Monaco to Lyon. Years later the distance has gotten much shorter (for now!) and the game continues to bring them all over the world and more and more in love.
